Clifton H. Burrows, EdD
Clifton Burrows, EdD, is Director of Psychological Services for West Michigan
Addiction Consultants, PC (WeMAC). His association with WeMAC started in
September, 1988, when he began providing psychological testing, consultation
and therapy services to WeMAC patients. He has assumed these duties on a
full-time basis with his employment by WeMAC since July, 1995.
Dr. Burrows graduated from Western Michigan University in 1984 with a Doctor of Education degree in agency counseling. Additionally, he holds a Master of Arts degree with Honors from Western.
Dr. Burrows brings over twenty years of experience as a therapist, administrator and mental health consultant in the field of addiction treatment. He was previously employed at Kent Oaks Psychiatric Unit as Director of Psychological Services. During his tenure at this facility, he was responsible for the development and implementation of Grand Rapids' first dual-recovery track, offering a continuum of integrated treatment strategies for mental health and chemical addiction.
Other areas of specialization include the treatment of mood, anxiety and personality disorders through a holistic approach that stresses personal creativity and value fulfillment.
