A Unique Addiction Treatment Approach
WeMAC was founded by Thomas L. Haynes, MD, FASAM, a certified addictionist, Fellow and Board member of the American Society of Addiction Medicine and Director of WeMAC Treatment Services. His phased program features a disease/abstinence/12-step-based philosophy, experienced staff and comprehensive aftercare.
The therapeutic environment at WeMAC is warm and caring. Our patients feel safe and report that they are treated like a “real person”, not a number or statistic! Margaret writes, “Not only did my therapist know me, the entire treatment team understood me, my family and my needs.”
Our responsive program is supported by the availability of on-call therapists and addictionists - 24/7. Our residential treatment program provides patients with a supportive recovery environment while receiving intensive therapeutic care during the first 60 to 90 days of abstinence in order to increase the likelihood of long-term recovery.
A phased treatment plan is developed individually for each person and the level of care recommended is determined by the entire clinical treatment team following a thorough assessment.
Another distinct difference you will find here is that because of our specialized program structure, the degree to which we can tailor our services to fit patient needs is specialized in and of itself. Because we recognize that each patient is unique, our treatment team invests the time to understand our patient's history, strengths, needs, abilities and preferences in order to provide the most effective care.
